Fantastic fan PWM control board conformal coating: yes/no?

If you've done the Fantastic Fan PWM control board hack, did you use a conformal coating on the PCB, or did you leave it uncoated? And how has the board held up over time? Also, if you did use a coating, other than the heat sinks, what else did you mask off?

 

I'm basically referring to the popular RioRand PWM variable-speed control board, which I don't think is conformal coated
