The high idle feature is not covered at all in the owners manual (that’s odd), but I found how on a forum how to turn it on. Truck in park, parking brake on, foot off brake, turn cruise control on, hit set button. The idle smoothly increases to 1200 rpm. Hit set button again and it smoothly drops to normal idle. Also, releasing the parking brake, shifting out of park, or any of several other inputs will return it to low idle. I could not find any info on whether setting high idle defeats auto shutdown, and I have not tried letting it run that long just to find out.
