Milt, you are an inspiration to all of who are still looking at and imagining what retirement may be like and how one may best enjoy it for a good long time.  Thanks for your efforts to share your artistry and your writing skills, and thanks to Mark BC for facilitating!

Milt thank you so much for another inspiring report!  It did get me to wondering - I had sort of assumed you used watercolors, but you mentioned pencils - are all the colors from pencils?  Or what exactly is the medium?  Thanks again for taking the time to share.

...It did get me to wondering - I had sort of assumed you used watercolors, but you mentioned pencils - are all the colors from pencils?  Or what exactly is the medium?  ...

If I can be so bold as to speak for Milt (only because he may not check in on this for a while...):

He's told me (and demonstrated once, in person) that he uses "water-color pencils".  They're used like regular colored pencils (so more portable and "hardy" than water colors for camping) except that after the drawing is sketched you can apply a water-wet brush and the colors flow a bit and end up looking like water colors painted with a brush.

If/when Milt checks in here he can correct me if I got this wrong.
