Okay sooooo
There was nothing wrong (except the charger got really hot....)
The blue light on the battery means the charge is 65-100%. Doesn't say anything about the blue light in the book so not knowing what it was led me to wait and find out. That's the technician in me.....
Aventon explained that and said the charger does gets hot.... if it gets that hot again I'll ask them to let me exchange it....
I came home, popped the battery in and turned on the bike and the battery was at 91% so it had been charging fine when I unplugged it due to the heat issue.
I had also mentioned that the rear brakes were spongy. They are hydraulic. Aventon told me to take it to a bike shop and have them bled and they would reimburse the cost. Can't argue with that
They also said if anything was damaged (I had to bend the rear fender away from the tire because it got schmused in travel) to take a pic and they'd send a replacement.
I'm happy with this, just wish it hadn't taken 4 days but it is a weird environment out there for all of us and we have to get used to folks having employee issues and stock issues and who knows what else
Will take the bike out in a while and ride around. I need to get a helmet and help because I have to get that 73 lbs up and down my 10 step porch! Working on a ramp to assist
