Back from our trip to Yellowstone and Grand Teton NP. Met some friends of ours for 4 days in the park. Started in Jackson area and traveled north into Yellowstone. First day West Thumb and Old Faithful area. We stayed 70 miles outside of west entrance. Is difficult this year to get an RV site. So we had to book a place quite far out. Tourists are back, but does not seem any busier than any other time I have been at the park. People love the place.

Second day was Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and Hayden Valley

Third day was Norris Basin area and Mammoth.

Fourth was Grand Prismatic area and Black Sand Basin

When we left the park on the fourth day we stayed in National Forest Dispersed spot on the way to Jackson area.

On the fifth morning we stopped again at Grand Teton NP for a couple pictures in the morning down by the river. Some of my favorite pictures. I have had bad luck in years past photographing the Tetons. Smoke or haze in past years.

Diesel prices were not pretty this year (nor any other fuel). 3300 miles up and back to El Cajon CA.

Shot way too many pictures. Posted on my Smugmug site. Enjoy.

The friends we spent four days with, stopped at the Old Faithful store early on, to pay us back for some food they ate of ours. I told them that was unnecessary, especially since they would have to lug it around, or they could of done it on the way out. To make it worse the first bag got soaked in a rain. That was a second bag a store kindly gave them.
