The site is live on the new forum software and I wanted to give an overview of why and what to expect. The forum will be modified somewhat in look and feel as I get things settled. The advantages of changing to this software are:

  • This software is going to be easier to modify and integrate with third party applications
  • The software vendor offers much better support
  • I was able to have both of the previous galleries integrated into this one much better gallery application

The classifieds will be returning soon in a new format.

Let me know if you notice any problems.

Welcome back from Steen's. Checked it and saw some great campsites along the cliff. Looking forward to the trip report when you are done playing with this. Hope you are well rested - we'll keep you busy with comments. Like this... not seeing how to do pm's anywhere. Is that still an option?

Yeah you click on the users name and in the left column in their profile there is an option to send a message.

The site comes up as IP Board with a later reference to wander the west. The left side is blank (maybe a picture is there?) The right side has latest topics. If you scroll down then you see fimiliar items on the site. It looks like it will be a great improvement when the kinks get worked out. I also see the gallery pictures I tried to post but didn't think it worked.

Width is a bit off (i.e. I have to scroll to see text on the right side of the screen); maybe this is a user configuration?
