I searched and couldn't find a thread on abbreviations used here.

For example:

FWC: Four Wheel Camper.

PNW: Pacific North West.

ATC: All Terrain Campers

While reading a thread, someone used terms, "NS sleeping" and "sleeping EW".  :blink:  :wacko:  :lol:

What other abbreviations are used so I can better understand what's being said here (website)?

NS (north south) is sleeping aligned with the camper feet or head toward the door.

EW (east west) is sleeping crosswise in the camper.

Thanks for posting for clarification. I get lost on abbreviations often and need to search out meanings.

TLAs and FLAs are hard to keep up with… :P

TLA -> Three Letter Acronyms

FLA -> Four Letter Acronyms

Seriously, in many instances, they are obscure.  Your idea for a list is a good one.

Doesn't help when they mean multiple things. When I see BLM I think bureau of land management while others will think black lives matter (or even other meanings). Hams are particularly bad about acronyms :)

Abolish all TLA's.

boy did I get a dirty look from my boss when I said that!

FLA can also be a Flooded Lead-Acid battery.

AGM - Absorbed Glass Mat battery

VSR - Voltage Sensing Relay

ACR - Automatic Charge Relay

Different Mfg names for essentially the same function.
