Just about finished up my sink/cabinet for the swift shell, (I'll attach a pic) and wiring up the pump tomorrow. It's a real small pump I got from a buddy and super quite. Had decent reviews, I figured why not, also a surflo would be way too much. It draws about 7 amps, I'll be using 14awg with a run of about 2 feet. I'm thinking about a 15 amp fuse inline right off the battery. Just wanted to confirm that'll be good? Thanks

Does the motor have a data sticker on it? I would use a fuse of the next increment greater than the rated amps, and be prepared to increase it one more increment depending on how much in-rush current the motor has on worst case start-up.
