Is anyone running just super springs on a 1/2 ton with a Hawk?

If so how is it?

My rig has the super springs on the rear and heavy duty bilsteins front and rear. Just wondering if this alone can support the Hawk or if I may need to switch out to air bags or bumpers.

On my F150, I added air bags to level truck with camper installed. You should wait until your camper is installed.

The airbags are great for leveling the truck.I have had my Bobcat on two different trucks the Ranger with Supersprings and the Tundra with airbags. I prefer the airbags.IMO.

But yes you might wait until the camper is mounted.

I have a 2019 Tundra with stock suspension. Here's a pic of my rig with 1800 lbs of concrete blocks. The rear end drops about 2" and levels out the ride. My ATC Panther Shell weighs 900 lbs including side dinette and corner stove and I haven't felt the need to pump up my suspension. My prior 2 Tundra's I had air bags on one and an extra leaf spring on the other and I never liked the ride without the camper ( Hawk) loaded which was about 80% of the time. Like others have said, best to wait to see how your ride is with the Hawk on your rig.

Installed Super Springs 8 years ago on a 1st gen Tundra, moved the hawk to a F250 about 4 years ago but left the springs on the Tundra which i use to haul firewood and lumber. I like having a light duty 3/4 1st gen. Springs are holding up fine and I like the way the truck handles, very little lean in the corners. Bilstein 4600s completed the package and again they are excellent(still).
