It was beautiful, but actually pretty miserable. We'd been at altitude (over 10k) for quite a while by then, but still not comfortable at all.

I do all my camping above 7000 feet and many times above 8600 feet. Propane heating has never been an issue. The bearing on the blower drum squeals a bit when it gets hot, but other than that, for 20 years it has been running like a champ.
