I woke to the sound-signs of rain -- downspout dribble -- this morning.

Yep, we sure do need the moisture, even if it lands on the weekend.

(I guess if I was a working man who needs nice weekend-weather for recreation I might complain...a little... but I'm not.)

Glad I woke up early at the FWC rally. No sooner did I have the top down when the rain started. Rained hard coming over the pass but not a drop here at home ;(

Unseasonably cold (or cool, at least) with rain today.

Highs in the low 50s and lows in the high 30s -- tomorrow, too.

I really, really want the wind to stop. It has been blowing for more than 24 hours now. I don't sleep much when the wind is howling and if I do I have nightmares about fire. The lines were de-energized for a couple of hours this morning but then they turned them back on (right after I had breakfast in the camper) and I don't feel too good about that.

And my veggie garden is being beat up. And then it may freeze tonight and tomorrow night.

This has certainly been a windy spring.  It was windy down in Utah when we were there, and it is windy up here at home too.  Unusual in my experience.  And I'm with you, I can't sleep when it is this windy.  Makes me wish I had a windmill though to generate power!
