We here in New England are in drought. 14" below normal. The leaves have been turning brown and for the first time ever in my life the ground is covered in brown dead leaves in August. This does not portend well for fall colors this year for all the leaf peepers.

We're getting some hot temps around here.
As dry as our area is and with the Oak Moth invasion
it looks like "nuclear winter" here.
The Live Oaks are mere skeletons.

We are looking forward to the end of this endless summer in Portland. The last significant rain was June 16th:
And too many hot 90+ days for our so-called pacific northwest temperate climate:
lived for several years each in Montana, Utah, Idaho, Texas, Washington, Oregon.
