I have a 206Ah SOK Lifepo4 paired with a Renogy 30 Amp DC-DC/MPPT solar charger combo. I’m happy with the set up except that the Renogy app for the controller isn’t working well. I’m using the following user defined settings (recommended by the  battery distributor Current Connected) for my charge profile:

High Voltage Disconnect: 15.0

Charge Limit Voltage: 14.6v
Equalize Charge Voltage: 14.4
Boost Charge Voltage: 14.6v
Float Charge Voltage: 13.8v
Boost Charge Return Voltage: 13.4
Over Discharge Return Voltage: 12.0v
Low voltage Alarm:11.8v
Over Discharge Voltage: 11.0v
Discharge Limit Voltage: 10.5
Over Discharge Delay Time: 5 Seconds
Equalize Charge Time: 0
Boost Charge Time: 15 Minutes
Equalize Charge Interval: 0
Temperature Compensation: 0

For some reason my controller is getting stuck in a boost charge stage and is keeping the battery at 14.6v all day. I’m working with Renogy to get it figured out but I’m the meantime I saw that the Sealed/AGM battery profile matches relatively closely except that the boost duration is 120 minutes vs the recommended 15 minutes.

High Voltage Disconnect: 16.0

Charge Limit Voltage: 15.5v
Equalize Charge Voltage: 0
Boost Charge Voltage: 14.6v
Float Charge Voltage: 13.8v
Boost Charge Return Voltage: 13.2
Over Discharge Return Voltage: 12.6v
Low voltage Alarm:12.0v
Over Discharge Voltage: 11.1v
Discharge Limit Voltage: 10.5
Over Discharge Delay Time: 5 Seconds
Equalize Charge Time: 0
Boost Charge Time: 120 Minutes
Equalize Charge Interval: 0
Temperature Compensation: 0

Will this be a problem or damage the battery? After the 120 minute boost it converts to a float voltage of 13.8. Anyone see any problems with this or have a similar experience with their Renogy charge controller? I have looked around and most lithium batteries state they don't need a float charge so I'm not exactly sure who SOK recommends the charge profile that they do. The default lithium settings on the Renogy controller aren't anywhere close to the recommended profile. they are as follows:

High Voltage Disconnect: 16.0

Charge Limit Voltage: 15.5v
Equalize Charge Voltage: 0
Boost Charge Voltage: 14.4v
Float Charge Voltage: 0
Boost Charge Return Voltage: 13.2
Over Discharge Return Voltage: 12.6v
Low voltage Alarm:12.1v
Over Discharge Voltage: 11.1v
Discharge Limit Voltage: 10.5
Over Discharge Delay Time: 5 Seconds
Equalize Charge Time: 0
Boost Charge Time: 0
Equalize Charge Interval: 0
Temperature Compensation: 0

Any thoughts on which profile to use? Just go with default lithium and roll with it, or follow the recommended settings as closely as possible and hope the 2 hour boost doesn't damage the battery over time. I've submitted a tech support case with renogy and I'm hoping they figure out why my "user" settings are causing my controller to get stuck in a boost charge all day but in the meantime have the default AGM or lithium settings to roll with. Thanks in advance for your advise!
