I enjoy going up to Heenan Lake on Monitor Pass to see fall colors, The Aspens above Heenan Lake are beautiful this time of the year.

Those aren't the only beautiful colors at Heenan...

The only color we recently found was near the summit of Sagehen Peak southeast of Mono Lake and south of 120. The aspen here are windswept and stunted. Color is just beginning on the east side of Sonora Pass and Hope Valley. The drought continues and has a great effect on leaves drying and falling off.

I enjoy going up to Heenan Lake on Monitor Pass to see fall colors, The Aspens above Heenan Lake are beautiful this time of the year.
Over all the years I fished Heenan the colors were always fantastic.
There is a grove on the west side of the road,89 going up the hill that
would always have such beautiful color.
Just sitting out in our canoe on the lake looking at the colors was a real treat.
Also catching one of the big Lahonton trout was also a pleasure.
