After a few weeks with the Cougar at home, I am starting a very basic build.  Other than lots of floor space, I really didn’t know what I wanted inside  when I ordered.  At the present, I’m just leveling out the step in the floor pack, and calling it good for a while.  Most of our gear will be in crates on the driver side, secured with straps and footman loops, Our seating on top of the passenger side  platform, with stadium style seats.

A lesson learned, when you’re not sure of what you want in your build, don’t ask to have the platform carpeting installed, it’s a bugger to remove.

Here’s a quick pic of today’s work.

Tomorrow’s chores will be sanding, painting, securing the top, new carpet, and aluminum angle over the edge.

That extension is a good place to put my size 12 foot when climbing into or out of the bunk in the overhang.  Plus you've gained a little storage.
