What kind of gas mileage are you Guys seeing with these trucks ? Loaded and unloaded. I know its not all about the gas mileage but I'm just curious . Considering going back to a double cab truck . Thanks.

Double cab? Doesn't it only have a 5.5' bed? No camper on it!

I have a 2013 Tundra extended cab with 6.5' bed and it gets 15 to 16mpg sans camper and with my Hallmark Milner it gets 11.5 to 12.5 mpg. I just ordered two 3 gal gas cans to extend the limited range of the 26gal tank. But remember gas is not the major cost with a truck, maintenance is. At 90K miles, no costly problems so far.

I believe the Double Cab is what we think of as an extended cab. We have a 2014 Double Cab with a 6.5-foot bed and the 4.6. I can get 17 mpg out of it on 60-65mph highways with a cab-height shell on the back. Around town hypermiling will get me between 14 and 15.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, the double cab is what I think of as an extended cab. I think Toyota calls their larger cab a Crew Max.
