Glad to see things are working out for you.

It looks like it will just take some time.

The 2022/2023 Toyota Tundra trucks seem really nice.

But they do have a plastic/composite truck bed (like the 2005-2022 Toyota Tacoma trucks).

No big deal.

Just requires different camper tie down brackets to be mounted in the truck bed, and will set you back a few extra dollars for the install kit.

(steel bed bars, instead of the forged eye bolts)

Brenda in our service department can give you cost for the brackets.

PS: The new 2022 tundra tie downs brackets are expensive.    :(

Hi Stan,

Thanks for the input!

I haven't checked yet but I'm guessing the '23 Tundra beds are wider and deeper than my '04. Do you know if I'll need jack bracket extension plates?

Or should I contact Brenda?

Thanks,

Tony

As to high side rails, I use stock pads on my 2013 Tundra. They can be purchased at places like tractor supply.

I'd like the 2023 tundra with turbocharged, hybrid V6 but as far as I know, they only sell it as crew cab with 5.5' bed.

I just checked Toyota and the hybrid Tundra is available with a 6.5' bed in Limited trim. However, we asked about a CrewMax (non hybrid) with a 6.5' bed and our salesperson said they VERY rarely see them. Of course, they very rarely see any new trucks now-a-days (2-4 per month here).

Per Toyota, the 4x4 CrewMax Limited hybrid with 6.5' bed has a payload of 1665# vs. the 4x4 Double Cab SR5 with standard V6 at 1885#. A major reason we bought the truck was for the extra payload.

I'm planning on putting my ATC Panther on a 2023 Tundra double cab with the 6.5ft bed.  What have others done to prep for the install?  Platform, tie down bars, springs, airbags, etc?

Thanks,

Bruce
