Thanks for posting this information. I changed out my 30# struts for 40# struts and it made a big difference. When I added Yakima roof racks and a 24lb canoe, lifting the front of the roof was backbreaking. This was with the 160W solar panel as well.  So the combined weight was a little much for 30# struts.
