We have a 2012 Hawk Side Dinette with the under seat storage. I really hate having to remove the cushion and open the hatch to get into the storage box.

Has anyone done a modification where the side panel in the 'hallway' is removed to accommodate a sliding box? Either on casters or on drawer sliders? How do you keep structural integrity? Any ideas??

Only a thought, or 2...storage space in our '16 hawk / side dinette is at a premium and is 'golden'...if you install any form of a box or drawer into the existing storage space under that seat cushion you lose storage space....just saying....plus our hold down buckle access door is accessed trough that storage box space....we check our turn buckle tension before every trip....removal of a slide in box would be trading one inconvenience for another and may dissuade any check of the turnbuckle...
