Looking for experience based information on three wind related areas.

1. The Alaskan CO has a blunt front portion that collects bugs at an amazing rate.  This must be impacting airflow and possibly gas mileage.

2. Air flows between the top of truck cab and bottom of CO.  Bugs collect on the area behind cab similar to #1.

3. Dead bugs show up inside the camper on the counter tops and back of dinette seats just behind the CO portion.

Have any of you Alaskan Camper owners experienced similar issues?

If so have you been able to remedy any of them?

Thank you in advance.

Yes, bugs will accumulate on the cabover section, especially in areas that have lot of bugs like MN. I put over 3000 miles on last spring to northern Manitoba and back and while I had a good number of bugs on the cabover section, the number of bugs between the cab and front wall was considerably less. I suppose one could build some sort of fairing/deflector on the front of the cabover, but I think it would be only somewhat effective. The back of my mirrors are curved and at certain times of the year here they have so many bugs they look almost like carpet.

As for bugs inside, are they entering while traveling down the road? I have never experienced that. I have had a fair amount of dust, mostly from the rear door, but expected it after over 400 miles of gravel roads. How are the rubber seals on the lower and upper portions of the camper body? I replaced all of mine with new rubber since you could see daylight, once finished it was sealed well, with no water or pest intrusion. Another place to look, depending on the age of the camper it the refrigerator vents on the inside, some are wide open with only a screen, or not in some cases, and that could be an area to make a cover for to seal it up while on the road.

Yes, bugs entering while traveling down the road.  When the top is raised they are along the windows and some smear in a vertical line right where the front seal is.
