I can relate to this from my personal experience, in San Antonio one month ago. My reaction when I discovered, "Where's my truck?!" was just like this guy's.
However, my 2022 Ford F150 XLT does not have push button start. And the truck was found a week later, in use for "smuggling".

I can understand wanting a faraday cage pouch for the key you carry around. For keys that sit at home, aluminum foil does the same thing and is nearly free.

Most FOBs can be turned off. I can turn mine off easily by holding lock down and pressing open simultaneously twice. No need for pouch.
I leave my FOBs off most of the time.

Alley Kat found part 2 of the video that goes into locking the fob.  Thank you, Alley Kat and Sledawg!

I checked the owners book for our brand new (Nov 12) 2022 Toyota RAV 4 Hybrid.

I can turn the fob off. It's listed under the section "saving the battery".

I tried it and it works.

Thanks for posting all this info.

I’ll add my thanks, too. I knew about the theft vulnerability via fob reading but didn’t know many fobs can be turned off.

I searched in my owner’s manual (2021 GMC 3500hd) and it did not have any procedure to turn off the fob. It did describe a simple 3 second, two button press to turn off keyless entry. That won’t stop someone from recording the signal from the fob, but maybe it prevents them from getting in if their copy method doesn’t give them the ability to just turn the keyless entry back on by pressing the buttons the right way on their fake fob.
