As heavy as my cast iron is, I don't leave home without it. Used it last night along the Big Sur river. Hiked up above the gorge and found some nice chanterelles. Made apple and mushroom stuffed pork chops encrusted with almonds. It just tastes better on the iron. I just wipe it out and she was ready for breakfast sausage in the morning.

If'n you ain't married and will continue to cook I'm proposing! That sounds delish. I'm just to old to hike with cast iron anymore!
