HI, Looking for a used pop-up truck camper. Looking at a Scamper 080S and a 2000 Northstar tc800. Which would you buy and why? Thanks for the help. I like the Northstar but it's twice as much money. Is one substantially better than the other? Thanks in advance, Jerry

No slam intended to anyone who owns a Scamper, but speaking as a tech, quality of construction is higher on the Norhstar so in general longevity is better. However, when you start going back far enough in time, maintenance tends to play a greater role than pedigree. Looks your candidates over carefully focusing on the greatest portion of your inspection and areas builders would not expect you to look and you should see what I mean.
