T-Dawg, we did go down there one winter. We rapped off the bumper of our truck and then jugged out in falling snow. There was less water than what Mark's photo shows and there were some plants, mostly ferns, growing in the dirt around the edge. In the mist and falling snow it was sort of a Lost World!

By the way, the water in the Bowl is too hot to swim in!!

Oh, and PS- Stew, you used the bumper as your anchor? Those are the first things to fall of any vehicle in the movies! What were you thinkin'?!?! :)

It was back in the days when a metal bumper was the toughest thing on a man's manly truck. Not that wimpy plastic of today's girly-man trucks. :)

Tdawg says that since you called her truck girly, you can now retrieve your dollar from where the sun doesn't shine. That is, in the Devils Punchbowl :)

I was going to point out that you said "today's truck" which therefore would include DD's.

I once rapelled off the bumper of a 1969 VW. Luckily I didn't pull it down with me.

He he he, I'm not sure I would have the guts to poke fun at DD's Clint Eastwood!
