I've been really happy with the winter performance of the Alaskan. I purchased a pair 6v GC batteries from Costco, installed just forward of each wheel well. I have a Honda 2000 generator that we run for a few hours from setup/sundown to bedtime. I can run the furnace on low all night, keeping the cabin around 55 F and then crank it up the next morning to 68 F. Batteries on average drop from 12.6 to 12.4.
