Hmmm, sounds a lot like what Hallmark has been doing on their campers for several years now. I am sure they are different products but my Milner LX has sandwich composite walls. one of the things I really like about it is the smooth exterior finish, no aluminum siding and it is so easy to keep clean.

Good PR for ya! Probably not really the first one of its kind in the world though (bound to have been tinkerers out there already ;)).

One query I was pondering on the weather seal of the camper when popped up in the vinyl to camper interface. You're blending folding inward vinyl, when its closed, with a vertical sliding interface on the hard top, I'm not picturing that sealing surface very well off the top of my head.

2007 Dodge 2500 quad cab 4x4 5.7L Hemi auto and slowly progressing build.

FYI: I've got a bunch of extra 14ga wire in red and black. Its a thick jacket 41strand wire (likely MTW wire) verse typical 19strand automotive wire. It has good flexibility but factor in the thick jacket. I'll ship out 100' coils for $18 (I can go 50' of ea for that too) if anyone is in need of wire.

Hi pods

The XPCampers soft side is a uniquely built (4) layer system that elimates the need of what other manufactures consider an "arctic pak" This system incorporates YYK zippers that are recessed into the overhead and sides via a channel that holds the other half of the zipper system in place. This in turn eliminates exposure to the out side elements. It also allows for an easy removal for cleaning and or repairs if needed down the line. When the camper is being lowered an internal bungee system retracts the three sides that then rests on the over head bed.
