This just showed up on www.deathvalley.com at 11 pm: "Drove in via South Pass on Friday, drove out today (Sunday) - I could have done it in my 63 Studebaker. No snow, little mud - a few deep puddles. It's a washboard down in the valley, but that's about it."

Kinda' what I figured. Things are never as bad as what the Park Service wants you to believe.

That is probably not a bad thing, so long as "those in the know" doesn't expand exponentially.

Congrats to those that made it to DV...looks like good weather considering the time of the year.....Next storm is just now moving into far Northern CA, feels quite a bit colder than previous storms.

Can't wait to see pics and hear the stories.

I am off to Boston for a week to see the wife's family.

Cheers,

Cort
