While we all use motorized transport to get to places it is important to slowdown and remember that not everyplace has to be reachable by car, or bike, or horseback or even foot.  Some places should just remain wild and free from human intrusion all together.  And I will be the first to admit to sometimes being guilty of rushing somewhere because I want to get to THAT place.

    I’ve been hearing about this bench that had a Edward Abbey quote on it for sometime. I also thought it was time to put the quote out there in a different way. The whereabouts were just how I like it, VAGUE!! It took 2 different days and a few trails. It wasn’t easy to find, but we’ll worth the view, especially after some rain. “May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing views. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds.” I did stay on the bench for some time. I couldn’t leave.
