However, since I'm already planning a trip to the Sierra-eastside about the same time, I'd need to know exactly what dates we're talking about.

I'm very interested (as I've already said offline).
However, since I'm already planning a trip to the Sierra-eastside about the same time, I'd need to know exactly what dates we're talking about.
We did East Side Fall Colors late October last year and seemed to be there at a good time.
Of course the seasons will vary from year to year.
From Oct 23, 2010 Lundy Canyon
Perhaps Black Rock sooner and East Side later?
Not that I can commit at this point.
2021 RAM 3500 Crew 4x4, 6.4 hemi/8 speed trans with 4.10 gears, Timber Grove bags, Falken Wildpeak 35" tires.
OEV Aluma 6.75 flatbed, Bundutec Odyssey camper on order for 2024
For this year we're still using our 2008 FWC Hawk with victron DC-DC charger, 130w solar, MPPT controler
with 2000w inverter and external 120v output and 12v solar input with 100w portable solar. http://lighthawkphoto.com

Yeah, I was over there about the same time last year -- right after the October Pork Rally, in fact, and there was lots of color in Upper Summer Meadows. We did East Side Fall Colors late October last year and seemed to be there at a good time.
But as you say, it depends on the year...and elevation. When I went up to 10,000+ feet in the Whites that same week the aspens were already done.
That's what I was leaning towards, too.Perhaps Black Rock sooner and East Side later?
