Two things have always drove me nuts. First was all the devices sitting on the counter getting charged. The iPhone, iPad and the Kindle not even mentioning the wife’s devices. Just a mess and constantly in the way. The other was a place for the things in my pockets at the end of the day. Wallet, keys, glasses and other loose small items that I wanted handy the next day.

Finally I found two things I just love.

First was mounting my phone on a mag safe charger. I attached one in the camper on the wall and also have one on the dashboard in the cab. They are great. Make grabbing your phone for a photo easy because no cords to get in the way. The one in the camper gets it off the counter and out of the way.

The other is a couple of Slim Caddy’s that I bought off Kickstarter (now on Amazon). One gets my small items off the counters while the other is used for the other devices and cords. They just keep me organized. Slim Caddy is attached which the removable 3M adhesive strips. I think a pair is around $20.

A great idea, I am thinking now of getting these to put inside the cabinets to gain more space. BTW, we also live in Marin (Novato). If you are open for getting together for a beer or coffee to discuss FWC and all things related, leave me a message (Steve and Melanie).

We use a small 300W inverter that has two 110AC plugs and two USB ports to charge our phones, tablets, and camera batteries. We added a power strip because we could really only use one of the 110 outlets at a time due to their spacing on the unit. So far, we plop inverter, power strip, and charger(s) on the counter between the stove and the refrigerator when we're popped up and stow them in the rear "flipper" when moving. It is a little awkward, but it works.

On a recent trip it occurred to me that I could put slots in the cabinet above the fridge and store these things up there popped or moving. The 12V connector from the inverter comes out to be plugged into the camper. The phone / tablet chargers come out to be used as needed. Only downside is we have to open the cabinet top to use our dedicated camera battery chargers. We usually set our food box(es) on here when popped.

Total Cost: $0 and maybe 20 minutes to rat-tail file the slots and clean up the sawdust.

The clear plastic windows on my old Grandby had shrunk and warped enough so the velcro was not connecting at the top.

Solution: Velcro One-Wrap 1" tape.

There aren't really any good handles on the inside of the FWC Project M or on the inside of the F150 tailgate.

I found these paracord handles on Amazon. Apparently they are made for jeeps, but I was able to attach them to existing screws/bolts on my camper and truck.

Photo shows them on the left side, I put the same on the right as well. So far it's working well and closing the camper from the inside is much less awkward.

I decided to add a soap dispenser next to the water drain. Saves opening the door and getting everything dirty. Sometimes water alone just doesn't do the trick. The bottle is plastic. Will it last bouncing around? We'll see down the road. Just under twenty bucks.
