Well picked up a truck this weekend. Gotta get a couple of things checked out today. Hoping to make this trip !

Hi all, i'm a brand new FWC owner. Just picked up a used eagle for my Tacoma. I'm so excited to start camping with it. I was hoping to meet some of you at the rally in Borrego Springs. I have a lot to learn! Do you anticipate that many owners will still come out considering the heat wave? Hope so.

We are still going.



I'm leaving Thursday and will be rolling in there about 2:00 - 3:00pm on Friday with Jim.

We will put some signs up and hopefully a small banner at the campsite.

My gut feeling says that we will have at least 5 or 6 people confirmed, and maybe as many as 10 people.

Bring some food, drinks, water, and some shade.

Great! I'm in! Probably won't arrive until Friday evening though. Wow-I'm so excited. My first trip with the FWC. Hope I have it tied down OK. Thanks to everyone's tips on this forum, I think it is. See ya.

ANZA BORREGO UPDATE 1:10pm WEDNESDAY


A new FWC customer drove out there today (Wed.) and scouted out the campground again.

(he lives close by and wanted to check it out)

Weather was good.

91 degrees with a slight breeze at 12:30pm.

Temps are supposed to be cooling down a little more each day.

Very dry, no humidity.

There is a clean pit toilet at the front entrance for anyone wanting or needing that.

He did mention seeing some flies at the campground, so he recommended bringing your bug repellant.

The weather is supposed to be cooler in San Diego this weekend so hpefully it will be cooler in Anza Borrego.
In anny case Stan and I will be there mid-Friday afternoon through Sunday morning.
