I want to get a speaker stand jack so my wife can raise the roof. Is this the one you guys are using?

I believe that is it.  I don't have one but it's the same one I have seen others post about.

Yes, On-Stage crank up speaker stand.  It works great.

I bought mine from Guitar Center in Ventura, CA a few years ago and after searching a bit on-line it looks like even the best price has gone up $30 since then.

You don't need the tripod just the center post and crank up part.

Regards,

Craig

That's it. Like Craig said, remove the tripod. Just drill out the rivets holding it to the pipe. Save the rubber feet from the tripod and put it on the ends. You can also take off the crank and use a portable drill for fast cranking. I bought a cheap $20 drill that has the small wall wart charger. I then charge it on the road.

When using it, make sure to place the top at crossbar where it's drilled to the frame so you don't crack the crossbar

I noticed in my searching that there is a subwoofer pole SS7747 on some of the sites that sell the On-Stage 8800B speaker stand. The subwoofer pole does not have a tripod and is only about $70 but it is too short and only extends from 38" to 42".

The On-Stand 8800B extends from 47"-74" and it looks like the best price is $90 these days..

I could not find a site that sells just the crank up pole from the SS8800B without the tripod.

Regards,

Craig

So do you use it to lower the camper as well? You removed the camper's struts?

When the kayak and other stuff are on top, I use it to raise and lower.  I can lift the back and lower both ends without, but it's so much easier.  My 5 year old likes to do it to give you an idea how easy it is to crank up and down.

Thanks for that post I needed to show my wife it is easy enough for her.
