Yes! What I recognized was Stroud Peak - the pyramid on the left. We love that part of the Winds.

On time we were backpacking in the Winds and experienced what was cool. My gal was waken by flashing lights and when she woke up enough she noticed it was lighting off in the distance.
As the storm approached closer the thunder would rumble in the Winds for 30 to 45 seconds. It was quite a show to the eyes and the ears!!
Then the heavens opened and was pretty windy pushing down hard on the tent. Of course you set the tent on a nice shelf, and yes wind would effect it. Duh!
Many times backpacked in the Wind Rivers and those memories are the best and we still talk about it with a smile.....

Chomping at the bit, more than ready to get out of the house and into the truck. Time keeps counting down... Want scenes like this out my back door every day.

We took off Friday afternoon for Table Mountain. Parking lot was open, but we parked along the road, with a bit of room.
There were a lot of college kids hiking in groups, and we quickly went on a diagonal, off trail across the table lands. Fields of flowers encircled volcanic rocks, while local bovines rested nearby.

Michael, Very nice images! The second one of ship rock looks like it would make a stunning conversion to monochrome. Well done.

Very nice.shots.Visited Devils Tower several years ago.
A very interesting "rock". We walked all around on the trail at the base.
Really puts you into a spiritual mood.
Thanks
