Why are you selling? Just curious cause I like these awnings but if there’s a reason you don’t love it, I would love to hear it.

    Bedliner question

We went with a mat. The rhino liner on the first truck was the better one cause it had more grip. The line-x on the second truck was more slick. Didn't have much grab. This truck we went with a rubber mat and it's perfect. We put the bolts thru it on the bed so it's permanently bolted into place.

Question about tie downs for FWC

I have a 2006 GMC Duramax with the 6.5 ft bed. I have a 2002 Hawk. Confused where to drill the holes in the bed for the tie downs. What kind of angle should the turnbuckles be at? Is there a standard amount of inches the holes should be from the sides of the bed? Getting a new truck is...

    Bedliner question

Thanks y'all. Will look into a rubber mat. The spray on liners are so expensive!

    Bedliner question

So, do you just put that on the floor of the bed and the camper sits on it? Do you need to glue it down?

    Bedliner question

Of course they don't have one to fit my truck.. Might look into rhino liner!

    Bedliner question

This will be the 3rd truck my camper (2002 Hawk) has been on. First truck had a rhino liner, second had lineX. This third truck is a bare bed. We will need to put something on it. Which do y'all have and like?

Deaver Springs for 1st gen Tundra

Have custom Deaver springs made for our 2004 Tundra. Upgraded to a bigger truck and they are just sitting here. They cost $100 to ship and we can work out a price for the springs. Only used on one trip with the hawk. Would love another WTW member to have them.

    Converting to front opening window

I went to a place that had leer toppers for trucks. They had some sliding windows that fit my 2002 Hawk perfect. I paid $20 and put it in myself. It was great. But my new truck doesn't have a sliding window :(

New truck we bought for Hawk got totaled last week :((((

Doesn't seem right, does it? It's a mess all around. After an accident is NOT the time to find out all the fine print in your insurance policy. Luckily I had great coverage, but it's still gonna cost me

New truck we bought for Hawk got totaled last week :((((

What a nightmare. I had gotten a 2006 GMC diesel that carried the hawk beautifully. Last week a 23 year old took a left without checking for oncoming traffic. We slammed into her going 50. She got the ticket and her insurance took 100% liability. Luckily all of us were ok and I didn't have...

Best websites for finding Used FWC (besides here obviously)...

KILROY, That was in Valdez Alaska 2 years ago fishing for Silvers. That was the trip we met Gormley Green on!! It was a blast! A lady took that photo and after the fact, told me about it. Can't wait to go back.

Moving from F150 to bigger truck

Hey Gormley Green... It has been awhile. We upgraded from the Tundra to a 2006 GMC 2500 duramax. Best thing we ever did. The camper fit just perfect! You will be so happy with the bigger truck!

Best websites for finding Used FWC (besides here obviously)...

It's possible. I live in Bradenton Florida and the great folks on this site posted ones they saw on Craigslist in the Used Four Wheel Camper Alert thread. I was looking through that and found one 2 hrs away from me on the other coast. There are very few of these in FL. Be patient.... one...

    Organization

In my 2002 Hawk, I put 2 milk crates at the front of the camper (part closest to the cab of truck.) They fit perfect and hold all tall bottles, things I want to get to quick at camp, dog food, bowls, etc. I traveled in a VW for 13 years, so I feel like I have tons of room in the FWC. Also...

    Camper storage

Living in the hot Florida sun, we store the camper under our carport. We have the jacks all the way down and the camper sitting on pallets. When it's not too humid, we pop the top and air it out. Amazingly enough, it doesn't get damp or musty in there.

    Battery question

I'm sure. After the recall on the seperator last year, I realized I never had it hooked up right in the first place. So, when I got the new truck , I haven't bothered to try to figure out how to wire it!
