First post on a new build, I'll keep it short, but will definitely be expanding as I go...

My new 80-something Grandby was taken care of, the roof is sealed, there aren't any obvious leaks from the siding or windows. At some point the floorpack was narrowed, but not enough for a current truckbed.

It seems like the camper might have sat in a puddle as the floor is pretty bad in multiple places, combined with holes ripped in the sides where the truck bed was a little too big when it was loaded up.

I don't want to turn this one onto a bare frame like my last one, but I do need to replace the floor.

I've been searching for somebody who has replaced the floorpack without removing the exterior or flipping it upside down, but not having much luck.

I will be pulling the interior cabinetry, I am not concerned with removing interior walls, paneling and trim is cheap and easy to replace.

How is a floor replacement done?

I'm thinking of supporting the camper with some sawhorses by the outer edges and pulling the floor out, replacing the 48x96 area, then putting the camper back on the dolly and piecing in the sides in.

If somebody has figured out a method and can share im all ears.

Well this escalated quickly... nothing inside except the curtains and maybe the water tank are salvageable.

I thought the cabover was in good shape. But nope...

I don't want this to turn into a 100% rebuild, but I might be on my way...

I drug a Hawk home almost two years ago, so I've got a spool gun for my welder, conduit bender for lift panels, a buddy with an industrial sewing machine, a source for reasonably priced doors, windows and other accessories. I have wiring materials and 100 watt solar panels and a 410 watt panel, but that might be a bit big...

I used filon on the Hawk and swore id never use it again, but it came out looking pretty good, so I'm tempted. I can get 8x10 remnant pieces for $200.

I'll probably have the rest of the interior stripped tomorrow.

that looks like a frame up rebuild project to me. Bound to be rot in places that you haven't even looked yet!
