He guys, new to the forum but thought I would share the process of my camper upgrade.
I started with a 2000 Eagle model and me and the wife really enjoyed our first summer in it but decided to do some up grades.
To start I rock a flatbed so I figured I could re do the out side to give more storage, I built boxes from 3/4 plywood and reused some old camper doors that came off the father in laws and two new doors.
We then finished the out side with trim and metal. I will post a few pics of the out side to this post. We are basically done with the inside besides mounting counter tops and a few odd things but it turned out awesome.
I made one side of the outside boxes for the utilities and the other for storage. I installed a life bro diesel heater but yet to finish fuel supply. I also installed the batt and a new fuse panel for more utilities. Let me know if ya have any questions and if you’re curious I’ll post more pics and inside pics.
Thanks for looking
Leon.

Thanks,
I mounted it to the 2008 d max for the summer and I do say it looks pretty darn good!

I’m not stressing too much but I want to mount rotopax cans to the side above the diver side boxes, a diesel in the winter and two waters in the summer. Still figuring out that system.

I have a few videos of the inside if any one is interested. We re did the bench layout and the cushions, and I wish I would have know of this forum before I re did the support kickers… definitely learned a thing or two.

Should I keep photos in this post or do another for the interior?
Oh and my wife did epoxy countertops! Definitely guna makes the inside pop!

nice. I like the lights inside. Did you paint the wood? How are the outside frame pieces of the boxes attached to the camper?

Yes we painted the box’s with black water proofing, I framed in nailers and used construction adhesive to make sure it doesn’t come apart. I then made re inforced mounts for the mounting bolt in the boxes as well., I actually think these are way better than the original 3/8 eyelet bolts with a a 1.5 inch washer.
Only time will tell ..

Welcome to the cult.Great looking rig. You sure put a lot of work into it.
Frank
The inside is coming together, I’m on the road working but the wife is determined to complete it by the upcoming Memorial Day weekend. Here’s a sneak peak on the counter tops… this is the drawer face…

I also lapped the plywood over the Bottom and glued it. Then treated 2x4 under that for support and keep the water off the bottom.

Well we took the camper on its main voyage over the long weekend, lots of driving, with beautiful views and a few hot spring soaks in the mist of all the chaos of all the traveling.
A few things I plan on changing,

Upgrading to a 300ah battery
Upgrading to 200w solar
Better storage under sink
Add diesel fuel tank to side for diesel heater.
Lengthen the bed so our mattress fits better.

As promised I will attach a few pics.
Thanks to everyone for following along.
