After 10 years, my Fleet is getting very hard to open. The lift shocks need replacement. I’d appreciate a suggestion for where to find them. Thanks
Karlton, I believe the typical gas struts used on FWC and ATC campers are usually in the 30 to 40 pound range. I’m aware of one member who uses 60 pound struts. Bringing a roof down against a 200 pound resistance might be a chore.I'm also looking at new struts. Does anyone know if the original equipment on a 2017 Hawk was 100 lb or 200 lb? Thinking of going with new 200 lb given the solar panels on the roof.
Thanks for that refresher. I was way off considering a 200 lb strut! I do recall the option of a 40 lb strut. The front of the roof lowers slowly but the back with the panel comes down a bit fast. I'll look into some 40 lbs for the back.Karlton, I believe the typical gas struts used on FWC and ATC campers are usually in the 30 to 40 pound range.
