Hello! New here, recommended to me by a friend.
I recently acquired a 2017 Northstar slide in for my 2018 tundra double cab 6.5” bed.
I was looking for advice for the mounting it. I’m a little tight on cash and weight, so I’m trying to figure out the best option.
At this point, I’m thinking that I’ll build a frame to loft the camper over the cab, and then I have drop in brophy mounts from the previous owner, but the back two align with the camper tie down points, which I know is not ideal. I also have a frame mount but it’s not for my truck. I’m concerned about the added weight of the platform and a frame mount on the payload of my truck, plus me and a dog and gear, we’re getting too close for comfort.
Just looking for some advice as I try to figure out how best to rig it up. Pics included from when I hauled it back to my house with ratchet straps
