My 96 F-150 is overloaded with my Hawk and I'm looking for an older F-250. All I seem to be able to find are F-250s with 8' beds, longer than needed for a Hawk. Has anyone come up with a good way to put a Hawk on a long-bed pickup?
There are pictures/posts floating around out there with folks doing so. Some mount the camper forward in the bed and have room in the back of the truck, like a porch, to haul stuff. Others mount it at the back like normal and then use the extra space in the bed in front of the camper for storage/firewood/etc.
You just need to install your eye bolts accordingly.
