Excellent trip reports. You were on many of the sites and trails we have explored.

I am also glad you met Eve. And it was good she was the Eve of Rejuvenation and not the Eve of Destruction!

Thanks Monte. It's been a long time between your "stories"but well worth the wait.
Your camp in part 2 ,Chiricahua NM was a great place. The rock formations fantastic.
Very glad to see you back to delighting us all with your trip reports and great story telling.

That is very kind, Frank. Thank you.

I've added several more spots to our "list". Thank you. Those sunsets in the southwest sure are special, and what a great place to spend the fall and early winter.

So glad to see a trip report again, I was starting to think those were a thing of the past...and here we are at home waiting and watching the snow melt (quicker by the day).

wow, great report. We loved Chiricahua too, when we were there last year. I'd go there again! And you make me want to explore KoFA a lot more than we did. Very fun to tag along with you!

Monte, very fun and inspiring trip report. Reminds me there is, for the willing, a vast amount of little visited country to explore. With quiet secrets and obscure hints for those willing to see.

Vic, you probably already know the Chiricahuas are a neo-tropical flyway with birds transiting through that you cannot find elsewhere north of the US border. They are skittish little critters.

When you wrote 'We did not know it yet, but we were in for a surprise that night in the campground.' my first thought was you'd encounter Eve again! There is a cemetery in Tucson where a couple years ago lights started popping up there lit all night. No rest for the dead I guess.
Really nice capturing with the camera, you really showed off Arizona nicely!
