Hello Wander the West Community,
So over a year ago, I purchased a 2005 Eagle. I Love it!
I noticed the eagle had a heater and I decided to see if it would work. I turned on the breaker, gas, and dialed up the thermometer. It started up but made this god-awful banging sound. So I disconnected everything and pulled the heater out of the camper. I found that parts of the heater had melted. It looked like this happened a long time ago. Pics below.
I noticed the plastic on top holding the circuitry board was melted. Also, a round piece that looked like it kept the fan inside from bopping around had melted and was jammed into the fan. The fan turned fine as soon as I pulled it out. I assume that's what was making the banging sound. I tried to find parts but was unsuccessful.

- Should I just mount the circuit board and try to rerun it without the round melted piece?
- Can I run it without the gas line attached? For testing purposes.
- Does anyone know where I can find replacement parts for this model?
