back bumper

Not sure if this the right place, but because Alumin. and other Co. do not make back a bumper(or a front bumper) for the 2017 Tundra I am force to look some other place. Was wondering if anyone was familiar with Wilco Hitch for the back bumper. Looking for some way to carry my shove, Maxxtrax , tire, etc.

What are pros $& cons of this hitch. It does seem to stick out the back some what.

I have a Wilco Hitchgate and I love it. The only con is the weight. If I have a spare tire for my Ram 2500 and two-6 gallon containers of fuel it's quite heavy. Still fine for my truck, but I think it'd be too much for a Tundra with a FWC in the bed.

I will echo the aforementioned comments...they are heavy but extremely robust. Just putting/taking it on/off was “exciting”. But that was why I originally bought it; the ability to remove it when I needed to use the truck as a truck. I eventually went back to just using the OEM spare tire location but it was a good piece of kit.

Seems like it would be a pain when you want to get in and out of the camper, having to swing it open and then leave it open, especially as you walk around the vehicle for whatever reason, cooking, sitting under the awning, etc. You can't open the camper door with it closed, right?

Realize this topic is old, but will chime in here. The Wilco is an option, I have one and would not personally go that route for a rear door camper. Opening and closing because of the rear door. I also have had huge problems with my wilco that for now I won't discuss in an open forum. A good friend has a tire carrier made by rgid(?) that he likes a lot, but still not handy for rear doors.
I would look at custom for the cost alone I think.

Also look at Westcott designs for a double rear hitch mount option...
