I’m back in the game after a 10 year pause. Old 1988 Grandby was my first and needed to sell. My “new to me” now 1998 Grandby is great shape just doing maintenance items. Question wanting to check and seal aluminum roof screws . Looks like some had been resealed not sure on type sealant.Could I just clean and recover with a lap sealant or should the roof screws be replaced then recovered? No leaks or stains I can see from past. Thanks for any insight on this.

Welcome to the site .
IMO just reseal all them. It's a easy job doesn't take very long.
Not sure what the best sealant is someone will come up with
the one to use.
I did mine a couple years ago and just unscrewed each screw one at a time
filled the hole with sealant and tightened them down. The sealant that squeezed out I just smoothed over the screw head.
Good luck with your "new" Grandby.

It's easy. There are plastic "plugs" on the rack rails.
Just pop the off and the screws are underneath.
Don't be afraid to use lots of sealant on them.
You will need a long socket or one of the driver type tools.
