It’s that time of year… Tick Season
This morning I was in the yard pulling out an invasive weed species (White Top or Hoary Cress), and picked up a passenger. It was a Western Star tick that while not widespread in Oregon, is associated with rodents. We had a number of Voles survive winter under our snowpack, so it’s very likely they were the host species.
Don’t forget -> Check yourself for ticks when you’ve been in tall grass or brushy terrain.
