First time posting, haven’t seen this exact question asked so if it has just let me know.
I have a 2007 Outfitter Caribou that is around 1100 lbs give/take that I bought a few months back. Shortly after buying the camper, I swapped my Tacoma out for a 2021 Silverado 1500 Trail Boss and started the process of installing mounts. Well I installed a set of Torklift mounts for the front but the rears don’t fit the trail boss dual exhaust (apparently it’s a different exhaust setup than a standard 1500). Looks like my only option is the Brophy mount, which based on everything I’ve read is not a reliable option for newer trucks.
Has anyone ever used or hear of anyone using a combo of Torklift and Brophy mounts? I feel better having front torklift mounts but I live in the Rockies and will be driving on a lot of bumpy FS roads to say the least. With a kid in the back I just want to be extra safe and secure.
Much appreciated.
