What is the best cab over height for a Hawk 4WC , I am looking at a 2013 Hawk on a 2015 f-250, doing the numbers on paper it would all sit with an 1-1/2" gap for underside of cab over to top of cab, add another 1-1/2" for a 3" gap? Thanks for your help

Depends on how much your truck flexes over the kind of terrain you are aiming to drive. Also, don't forget about downward flex/pitch of the camper if you happen to hit a wallow at speed.

I've had mine at 2" and never had an issue (Eagle on a Colorado). I have driven on roads that look like stairs so I think it is a good enough clearance but what Vic said above is true ...all trucks flex differently.

Dunno about 3"... starting to look funny and may create a big air pocket over the cab. My previous rig had that and the truck roof would "oil can" at speed ... super loud and scary the first time!

We ordered ours to be built for a 2022 F350 and ended up with a 1-inch gap between truck cab roof and bottom of camper. It looks really close, and it is. Have now used it for about three years with no problems and we have gone on some very rough roads. Our truck has a 4200 lbs load capacity so I suspect that there is very little frame flex.

I live in Fruitvale , have a 2013 Hawk on a tundra if you want to have a look. Also the box depth might dictate the cab height. Pete

When I ordered my Hawk (before I had my truck), I was told that if it was ordered specifically for an F-250/F-350 it would be as tall as they make them regarding the floor pack. Like your install, the clearance looks small on my F-350, but I've never had an issue. The GPS also seems to work fine.

Thanks for the offer, I phoned 4WC and gave them the serial number and they said it would fit my truck but they not go over specific clearances . I pick it up tomorrow
