Camping near Red Rocks?

hey all, we are heading to red rocks this weekend for a concert and are looking for some good car camping near the ampitheatre. anyone got any tips or info, already looking on the web and there are a few sites in golden but if possible we would like to get a little closer. also bringing the bikes so hoping to get some of that in as well. much thanks in advance.

Assuming you are referring to Red Rocks in CO (I don't know another), check into Rampart Range Rd near Sedalia, CO. This heads south from Sedalia and passes by Devils Head, a fire lookout in the foothills. Pine forest and rock formations all around. It is a popular spot, and I believe there is dispersed camping in the area. There are two FS campgrounds there too: Devil's Head CG and Jackson Creek, CG. I have a description from a 4wd book. PM me if you want me to fax or scan it. It is in the Pike National Forest if you care to check their website, there might be more info. Sedalia to RR is about 30min. Add time depending on how far down Rampart you go.

thank guys for your advice...ended up camping at bear creek lake...got the last site! rode at apex on saturday and saw a great show at red rocks...unfortunately no photos but had a great time and i appreciate the replies. cheers!
