Packed up and waiting for Monday (don't need weekend hassle on road)
Heading for a couple of weeks exploring fringes of death valley (away from camp grounds, tourists etc) Of course will spend a few days at the hot springs in Saline valley.
Not going to take dual sport as still have not regained full use of arm/shoulder,sure is a bitch getting older, takes longer to heal!So will be able to take some trails that we would not normally take since we wont be towing trailer.
After our crash experience we knew we were lucky that there was some one at site to drive us to e.r..got us thinking how lucky we have been for all of our years of traveling, exploring alone.Spent so time exploring emerg. locators and ended up buying a Spot device http://www.sierraexpeditions.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=515http: Hope we never have to use it but will feel better with it!
Will report back when we return.
Drive slow and enjoy "its the journey"
