Desert Trout

Thanks Steve that was a very good video.Sorry to say but I don't think our natural world is going to get any breaks in the next few years.I just hope the "orange" doesn't screw it up beyond reversal.
The LTC are a great fish to catch and release.
Fro many years in the fall I would fish Heenan Lake which has the LCT hatchery used for reintroducing LTC to their original areas.
It's a great project and during the season I sure enjoyed fishing there.

I was wondering why I’ve never heard of LTC but now I know. I am surprised that I have not heard anything about a Trout Unlimited involvement with restoration like they are with the Rio Grande Cutthroat.
I worry about future of all natural life.

It's a joy to fish Heenan Lake, when the lake is open to fish, the Aspen Trees are awesome, changing colors and the wild life endless. Oh, the fishing is super !!

I totally agree. Many years of great fishing. You could just sit there all day and enjoy the nature.
From the Bald Eagle nest to the bares roaming the shore for a snack.
I fished it from our canoe.Lots of big fish caught.I knew that during the fishing season if I didn't have much luck that Heenan was to be fished in the fall.

I take solace in what a very smart Native American person from the Nez Perce Tribe told me when I asked how had his people endured 160 years of bad times. He said "When things move for us we try to make progress. When things are against us, we hold on to as much as we can."

We can all practice being easy on the land, water and creatures.

That's more or less where we are now. This too shall pass.
