Door Curtain vs Screen Door

I quickly discovered with my new Fleet that there is no way to lower or raise the curtain for the window in the door from inside the camper, with the screen door option, without opening the door and unlatching the screen door first.

Has anyone fashioned a curtain for the inside of the screen door, and if so, care to share how you did it? I could probably come up with something, but you may have a better, smarter idea.

I have never used any of the curtains in mine.
I did have a "limo" tint installed.

Bill I removed the curtain from the door and made a roll up one that fits on the screen frame.I think there is a photo of that in my posts.If not let me know I'll post one on this thread.

Frank, I found a post where you describe your new curtain (Clear Screen Slider thread), but there wasn't a photo there. Kitchen towels and dowels? I don't know if the Fleet screen door and the Bobcat are similar enough for your scheme to work without seeing it. Thanks.

Otherwise I have placed self sticking velcro tabs on the screen door and had matching squares sewn into a dishtowel. Always try to have everything handle more than one task.

I do not remove the screen door. I do have velcro (hook side) on the top of the door frame. I have a towel with the fuzzy side of the velcro sewn to it. The towel covers the door and can be moved to the side to go in and out. It is also a towel if you need one.

Bill this is just a dish towel like others have used.Some dowels through the seams than the top placed in the original curtain rod holders mounted on the screen.The bottom is just left to hang when unrolled or the dowel ends wedged into the screen frame if you can.
The bottom line here is a simple mod. The dish towel hung on the screen door frame however you can.

Thanks for taking the time to post the photos, Frank. My screen door has a much narrower frame. That, combined with my laziness, makes me think using the velcro like Hittheroad and billharr have suggested may be the way to go.

I also like the velcro idea.Didn't think of it at the time.Great idea though.
I just don't understand why the factories(FWC/ATC)place a curtain on the door when there is a screen door.Why don't they come up with the curtain on the screen door from the start.
Also something else that bugs me is the "black" plastic slide,WHY can't they just make the standard one the clear one and not an option.
Oh well enough of my opinions.

For what it's worth, screen doors are supplied with a clear slide as standard on FWC campers at least now, as mine came so equipped. Don't know if it was always so, or not.

I think they do now,but it seems to be still in the options.Mine did come with clear.My complaint was why an option seems just as easy to make a clear one as a black one.Just saying.
